Thank You Studio Fitness Family – Member Appreciation Day

Studio Fitness is lucky enough to have members that have been with us since 19th street. We recognize that we would not be the gym we are today without our loyal member base who have stayed with us through our growth and development, and have supported our new endeavors such as the development of our Facet Seven Method, our new F7 CrossFit Affiliation, and to top it off our second location in EaDo! We strive to show our members how much we appreciate them every day by maintaining a clean workout space, working equipment, helpful staff, and clean bathrooms (we got you ladies 😉). We also like to hold events to show just how much we really appreciate the people that make Studio Fitness feel like a family!

This year’s Member Appreciation Day was without a doubt a huge success! A big shout out to DJ Gonz for the awesome music, we loved all the throwback jams you included.

You Don’t Have to Go Fast, You Just Have to Go

Being healthy is a process and if you haven’t been giving yourself the time it takes to be healthy then it’s an even longer process. You have to adjust a thousand things to get your formula just right and everyone’s is different. What works for your BFF may not work for you or what works for you may not work for your BFF and so on.

Failing to Plan is Planning to Fail

The holiday season is now in full swing and with less than a week to go, last minute shopping and preparing is consuming most of your spare time. In these moments, it’s tempting to relegate your workouts to “I’ll try to fit it in” status but this usually translates into zero workouts until after the New Year.

Getting Back on Track

Getting Back on Track
After the Holiday Weekend

Thanksgiving is over and if you’re like most people, you ate way too much of the foods you don’t normally eat. Indulging in rich, calorie-dense foods from time to time won’t really set you back any; and in fact, if you’re highly active, an occasional cheat meal can be good for your metabolism and hormones.

Whole30 Day 1

Saturday, I started the Whole 30 program for the second time. (Yes, second!✌) After doing Whole30 the first time I discovered a lot about my eating habits and the different foods that aren't as nice to my body as I wish they were (pizza, I'll miss you). However, even though I saw many benefits to staying Whole30, life happened (specifically, life with 3 kids who want boxed mac-n-cheese and fruit snacks for every meal) and I went back to snacking on things that were easy and simple and (processed). I broke the amazing habit I started of preparing my food for the week and began a new habit of winging it when it comes to meals, which never goes well for me.
